POSTURA (SEGUNDA PARTE)

Para comprobar que la postura es correcta y que transmite lo que queremos, hago un premontaje con ayuda de Blue Tack. Para ver mejor el efecto pongo el torso del piloto y la cabeza. Esto es muy importante para ver que la postura del arma este apuntando donde mira el piloto. A pesar de lo pequeña que es la cabeza del piloto en comparación con el robot, con ella puesta todo el conjunto parece mucho más coherente.

Con la posición fijada voy reconstruyendo las partes eliminadas o cortadas para poder mover las articulaciones. En los brazos rehago las articulaciones y aumento las protecciones.

EL PILOTO

El piloto marine debe llevar la misma postura que la maquina, ya que se supone que el manejo del vehiculo consiste en duplicar los movimientos del piloto. Para ello corto las articulaciones del marine (intentando dañar lo mínimo posible, para tener después menos que reconstruir). Los cortes son por codo, rodilla, tobillo y cintura. Copio la postura del robot, pego las piezas, relleno y reparo con masilla.

BALAS

Para hacer las balas del cargador del arma y los casquillos utilizo una varilla de
plasticard de 1 mm de diámetro. Para las balas corto la varilla en trozos de 5 mm de largo, a los que con unas limas les afilo la  punta. Para los casquillos corto trozos de 3 mm de largo y por uno de los extremos les hago un orificio con una broca de 0.7 mm. Es un trabajo tedioso, ya que hay que trabajar cada bala y cada casquillo uno a uno, pero el resultado merece la pena.

POSITION (PART TWO)

To verify that the position is correct and conveys what we want, do a pre-assembled with the help of Blue Tack. To better see the effect, I put the driver’s torso and head. This is very important to see that the position of the gun is pointing where the pilot looks. In spite of how small it is the pilot’s head, compared with the robot, with it, the whole seems much more coherent.

With the set position I rebuilt the parts removed or cut to move the joints. In the arms redo the joints and increase protections.

PILOT

The marine pilot must take the same stand as the machine, since it is assumed that driving the vehicle, is to duplicate the movements of the pilot. To do this, cut the joints of the marine (trying, at least damaging possible, to have after less than rebuild). The cuts are made at the elbow, knee, ankle and waist. I copy the position of the robot, hit the pieces, fill and repair with putty.

BULLETS

To make the gun bullets and caps, use a rod plasticard 1 mm diameter. For bullets, short rod into pieces of 5 mm in length, and sharpening them with a file. For caps, short pieces of 3 mm in length and one end I make a hole with a drill of 0.7 mm. It is a tedious job, because you have to work every bullet and every cap one by one, but the result is worth it.
