TERRENO

El terreno era algo a lo que le di muchas vueltas. Al final me decante por situarlo en una zona industrial, como una fabrica, pero con un aire antiguo, por lo que había que utilizar mucho remache y viga de acero. Diseñe una nave industrial con un escalón para acentuar el efecto de los casquillos cayendo, con una pared grande y un puente grúa para enmarcar al robot. Cuando hice el primer boceto me di cuenta de que la pared era una superficie muy grande que no decía nada, por lo que había que añadirle algún elemento que le diera personalidad al conjunto y nada mejor para una figura de Warhammer 40000 que el águila imperial.

Prácticamente todo el escenario esta hecho con Plasticard de distintos grosores. El águila, que puede parecer muy complicada de realizar, en realidad es mas sencillo de lo que parece, eso si, es bastante trabajoso. Lo primero es hacer un boceto en un papel. Copiamos el dibujo en una lamina de Plasticard (primero a lápiz y luego repasamos con rotulador indeleble para que al manosear la pieza no se pierda el dibujo). Con una cuchilla de modelismo y una regla de acero recortamos el contorno de la pieza. Con un punzón y unas limas  marcamos los trazos interiores del dibujo cuidando de no atravesar del todo la lamina. Con una lija igualo la superficie.  Ya solo queda pegarla en nuestra pared.

LAND

The first thing is to make a sketch on paper. Copy the drawing on a sheet of plasticard (first in pencil and then go over with permanent marker so that when we touch the piece do not miss the drawing). Using a modeling knife and a steel rule we cut the outline of the piece. Using a punch and a few files, mark the drawing inside the lines, taking care not at all through the sheet. With sandpaper, clean and level surface. It only remains to paste on our wall.
