Debido a las malas experiencias que hemos tenido con nuestras cajas de transporte a la hora de subirlas a los aviones, para el pasado concurso de San Savino, todos los monos nos preparamos a conciencia para no tener problemas. Y yo no iba a ser menos, por lo que me decidí a hacerme una caja nueva (otra mas, cualquier día mi mujer me echa de casa).
Esta vez decidí hacerme una caja mucho más pequeña. Quería una caja de un tamaño medio, que me sirviera para el día a dia, para cuando quedo con los amigos y llevo lo ultimo que estoy haciendo (rara vez llevo mas de dos figuras) y, sobre todo, para respetar las restrictivas medidas de equipaje de mano.
En vez de cortar la madera y hacer la caja desde cero, decidí comprarme una caja de madera que encontré en unos de los bazares de bajo precio (la tienda del chino del barrio). Las medidas eran un poco inferiores de lo que esperaba pero me simplificaba mucho el trabajo. Las medidas son 30 cm de ancho por 20 cm de alto por 14,5 de profundo.
Ya tan solo tenia que ponerle un asa metálica en la parte superior y una bandeja extraíble en el interior.
Como me sobraba algo de tiempo me decidí a personalizarla más. Busqué unos diseños por Internet, e hice un boceto en un papel modificándolo a mi gusto. Le di imprimación a la madera. Con un lápiz dibuje las figuras. Después tan solo tuve que pintar y colorear los dibujos. Por ultimo, con barniz mate en spray, le di un par de capas para proteger el dibujo.

Due to bad experiences we have had with our transport boxes when uploading to the aircraft for the last contest of San Savino, all monkeys prepare thoroughly to avoid problems. And I was not going to be less, so I decided to get a new box (another one, any day my wife I shall cast my house).
This time I decided to get a much smaller box. I wanted a medium size box that would serve me for the day to day, so when I’m with friends and I have been the last thing I’m doing (rarely took more than two figures) and, above all, to respect the restrictive measures luggage.
Instead of cutting the wood and make the box from scratch, I decided to buy a wooden box I found in one of the bazaars of low price. The measures were a bit lower than I expected but I work much simplified. The measurements are 30 cm wide by 20 cm high by 14.5 deep.
You just had to put a wire loop at the top and a removable tray inside.
As I had plenty some time I decided to customize the box more. I searched the Internet a few designs, and did a sketch on paper modifying it to my liking. I gave the wood primer. With a pencil, draw the figures. After only had to paint and color drawings. Finally, with spray matte varnish, I gave a couple of coats to protect the drawing.
